Alumni

Congratulations on completing your project! Whatever your plans for the future – be it continuing research within academia, going for a position in the worlds of business and media, or even opening a fancy restaurant – the GCSC, IPP and GGK would love to keep in touch with you!

To this end, the GCSC / GGK alumni programme offers several opportunities. First of all, we would invite you to hold on to your personal GCSC email addresses and to keep your E-Portfolio updated. Secondly, we would ask you to fill in our alumni data form. Doing so will allow us to keep in touch with you, inform you of the latest offers and events, and provide you with the opportunity to share your ideas about the alumni programme. On top of that, we’ll shortly be offering an alumni newsletter, which will include information on alumni events: Once or twice a year, we would like to welcome you back at Giessen to ‘homecoming’ events at which you’ll meet again former fellow students and friends, indulge in leisurely activities and inspiring academic discussions. We’d also love to have you as a lecturer and if you’d be interested in giving workshops or classes here at Giessen, you can do so in coordination with JLU’s centre for “Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung”. To ensure smooth communication between our alumni and the GCSC / GGK, two Alumni representatives will be available. Prof. Dr. Roy Sommer (GGK/JLU Alumnus) has already volunteered for this position!
