Native Speaker Editorial Support
To meet the growing demands of internationalisation in post-graduate education, the International PhD Programme (IPP) “Literary and Cultural Studies” and the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) offer editorial support for those programme members who write their dissertation in a language other than their mother tongue.
If you are a native speaker of German who writes his or her dissertation in English or in the language of your academic discipline (except German), you are eligible to apply for editorial support by a native speaker to proof-read your thesis.
If you are a native speaker of a language other than German who writes his or her dissertation in German or in the language of your academic discipline (except your native tongue), you are eligible to apply for editorial support by a native speaker to proof-read your thesis.
Applications must include:
- letter of motivation with detailed outline of necessity of native speaker editorial support including estimated costs of this support
- outline of dissertation project and select bibliography
- letter by first supervisor to support necessity of native speaker editorial assistance including statement on applicant’s progress
Applications will be accepted throughout the academic year.
If your application is successful, you will receive a one-time payment of up to €500 to be used towards the actual costs for editorial support.
